Welcome to the 2021-22 school year! We can’t wait to come together with our students and community and start a new year of learning together.
We are welcoming new students and families this fall, and have several new staff members at Robert Gray this year. Please welcome the following new Explorers to our staff:
- Heather Pendleton, 3rd Grade Teacher
- Darcy Campbell, PE Teacher
- Jackie Blair, 2nd Grade Teacher
Our work is not easy, and none of us can accomplish it alone. Each person in our learning community — our teachers, parents & guardians, school counselors, support staff and custodial team — has a critical role in helping our students succeed. We need your support too.
I have heard the wonderful reputation Robert Gray has for family support and involvement, and am looking forward to getting to know each of you as we work together. I am confident that this will be a fabulous year.
Our theme this year is “Anything is Possible!” - which we will embrace as we continue to adapt and learn in a time dominated by the COVID-19 pandemic. As we launch the school year, your students will be able to share with you the many ways we are embracing our theme every day.
Everyone at Robert Gray would like to thank our families and community in advance for following our safety precautions that are outlined in the student handbook as well as the COVID safety guidelines for Longview Public Schools. We are absolutely invested in the health and safety of our school community and count on you to contact your child’s teacher or the office if you have any questions or concerns about any of our school policies or procedures. I will do my best to communicate regularly and keep you all updated as changes occur.
Here is to a great year! Remember that we are a community, and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to call us. Go Explorers!
